Located near the city of Qinhuangdao on the northeastern coast of the Hebei Province, the Changli Golden Beach is about 30 km (19 miles) of sand dunes that have built up from the outpouring of silt from the Liugu River into the sea, where wind and current have returned the sand to shore. Although some portions of this stretch of sand have become more littered and run-down than others, there are some excellent beaches where you’ll find swimming, resort accommodations, sunbathing, theme parks, or, if one for a little aimless wandering, miles of rising and falling sand.
Changli golden beach is 15 km away from the famous Beidaihe resort. Famed for its fine sand and sand slides, Changli also offers activities like beach volleyball, football, kart racing, jet skiing, paragliding and more. Sand sculptures are also exhibited along the beach at certain times of the year.
